We weren’t too keen on ponying up for curtains. Plus, we didn’t really want to cover up our lovely view of a red brick firehouse and the trees. But the windows did need a little something.
So, Katie got to work crafting gold, glittery stars.
Amazingly she can freehand draw a pretty good star. She stenciled this on cardboard, painted one side blue, the other side gold+ gold glitter, nailed a hole through the top and strung then up with a white ribbon.
To give her map of America some character, she also painted the tips of white turkey feathers gold and blue then tied them up with floss.
